Day 9 - Monday 14 May 2012
Melbourne to Horsham
14.05.2012
You guessed it - raining again. We managed to get packed up between showers, and got away from the caravan park at about 10:00 am. The drive was a fairly easy 280 km from Melbourne to Horsham and we gradually left the showers behind us. After an early lunch at Beaufort we arrived at the Horsham Caravan Park at about 2:30 pm. Would you believe it - The Horsham Caravan Park is a Julia Gillard Memorial - perhaps Julia is chasing the Grey Nomad vote.

After setting up camp in a drive-through site we went for a walk around Horsham - the temperature was 18 degrees. Horsham is a substantial regional centre with good shopping.

They even have a branch of Conways Fine Foods from Artarmon.
Conways - great food made fresh
The caravan park is located next to the Horsham Botanical Gardens which was established in the 1878.
