Day 14 - Saturday 19 May 2012

Cowell to Port Lincoln

Did not need to hitch-up today as we had been on a drive-through site for the night. Plenty of sun and 12 degrees this morning but it did not last long. As we left the caravan park at 9:45 am we encountered a bit of light drizzle. We had a relatively short trip of 165 kms today. We called into Arno Bay for a look, and wished that we hadn't as there was very little to see. Later in the morning we stopped at Tumby Bay for a morning coffee.

Tumby Bay is an interesting small town with the mandatory long pier now only used by fishers looking for a meal. On the way back to the car we passed the historic Police Station - In 1911 the town had two mounted policemen but only one horse - Did they take turns or were they just good friends.

After our coffee we continued on to the Port Lincoln Top Tourist Park which is located just south of the town centre. We have decided to stay here for three days before moving on to Ceduna.
