Chilling in Cairns

Day 52 - Monday 1 July 2013

Another sunny day in Cairns with forecast temperatures of 19 to 26 degrees. Today we made another visit to Bunnings for more hose bits and pieces, then stopped at the Stockland Shopping Centre for papers and a coffee with toasted banana bread. David spent the rest of the day re-organising our sullage hoses to work with our new macerating waste pump.

Last night we noticed that we had another Trailblazer 5th wheeler parked about 3 sites away from us. It is owned by David and Lois, cattle farmers from Theodore? in Qld where they have a 50,000 acres cattle station, and a 500 acres cattle stud near Biloela? They have had their van since 2007 and the are on a three week holiday hoping to make it as far as Karumba before turning for home. We spent time with them comparing notes and looking at each other's vans and later caught up with them during happy hour. They tow their van with a Toyota Landcruiser flat tray truck.

No photos today.
