Southport - Day 3

Day 84 - Saturday 3 August 2013

Another beautiful sunny day on the Gold Coast - 12 to 23 degrees. Later in the morning we wandered over to the other end of the caravan park and welcomed Frosty and Marg who had arrived earlier in the morning from Dickys Beach - they are here for 7 weeks.

After lunch we drove down to Surfers Paradise and walked along the Esplanade to see the sights. There were lots of tourists on the beach but not too many in the water - the beach was closed but we know not why. We renewed our acquaintance with Kitty O'shea in Cavill Mall and David had a Kilkenny or two while Di had a glass or two of bubbles. We spent the time watching the world go by - mainly tourists like us.
