Southport - Day 5

Day 86 - Monday 5 August 2013

Another great day on the Gold Coast - 12 to 22 degrees and sunny.

This morning we had a 9:00 am appointment to have our Cooper Tyres rotated and balanced as they have now done 10.000 kms since we left home on 11 May. The work took about 30 minutes and cost $25.00, and is necessary to have done every 10,000 kms to maintain the 80,000 km warranty on the tyres. As an aside - on this trip we have towed the van 6,600 kms at 20.9 litres per 100 kms, and done 3,400 kms without the van at 13.4 litres per 100 kms.

Later in the morning we headed for Pacific Fair again as Di had an appointment with the hairdresser. After Di's hair appointment we had lunch at Pacific Fair, before going to Woolworths at Southport Fair Shopping Centre for a few groceries on the way back to the caravan park.

Back at camp we enjoyed the sun and read the newspapers.

No Photos today.
