Another Day in Melbourne
Day 5 - Wednesday 2 June 2014
03.07.2014
Looks like being a good day today with a forecast maximum of 16 degrees and a bit of sun.
Being a fine day Di decided to forego a shopping trip in the City and get a bit of washing done this morning. While the washing dried we went next door to the Braybrook Shopping Centre for some groceries and a visit to BWS for other essential supplies.
David had a walk around the caravan park checking out the other vans. Just near us on a drive-through site is a very large Wildcat 5th wheeler towed by a Chev Silverado. The sign on the back of the van warns that the rig is 18 metres long - we are only 12 metres when we are hitched up.

A nearby motorhome from WA was well set-up for transport, towing a small car on a trailer.

And finally a budget traveller with a tricycle and trailer with what looks like all his worldly possessions. He spent the last few nights on a grass site sleeping in a swag with a ground sheet over the top to keep the rain off his swag and his gear.

That evening Kirrily came over to the caravan park to join us for dinner and a glass or two of wine. While we were telling Kirrily about Chappy's new caravan, Chappy rang up to find out why his ears were red.
Chappy was really ringing to tell us that after nearly two weeks of being messed about by Kings Caravans he had finally been able to pick up his new caravan. He has a near new (demo model) Avida Sapphire caravan with all mod cons. Di says that it has a very nice bathroom and she is very envious. He had been waiting for Kings Caravans to install an ALKO ESC (Electronic Stability Control) system that took more than a week instead of a few days - not a happy Chappy! He is still hoping to get a few days away during the school holidays after some more modifications being done at another RV dealer. Good luck Chappy!
