Rutherglen to Goulburn

Day 7 - Friday 4 July 2014

A tad cool this morning - 3 degrees with fog. We decided to change our itinerary and stay at Goulburn and give Moss Vale a miss - we have been there before. It took less than half an hour to pack up and we were on our way by 9:30 am. At 10:30 we made our first stop in a rest area for a coffee and read the paper. The countryside in southern NSW is like Rutherglen with plenty of recent rain and green grass.

We were on our way again by 11:00 am and pushed on to the Yass service centre before stopping again for fuel and having lunch of ham rolls made with fresh rolls purchased at the Rutherglen Bakery on our way out of town. Yass is a busy truck stop and we lined up with the trucks while we had our lunch. We eventually arrived at the Goulburn Governor's Hill Carapark and booked in for one night. The park is a bit on the squeezy side having been built in the 70's. We managed to jack-knife the van and stayed hitched up.
