Southport - Day 6

Day 53 - Tuesday 19 August 2014

Mainly sunny today with a maximum of 24 degrees. The clouds built up later in the afternoon.

We spent the morning sitting in the sun with the papers, and Di got the crocheting again - she has finished one scarf and started another.

After lunch we went for a walk along the bike path which continues north along the Broadwater towards the Labrador high rise area. Total distance today was 4 km out and back. Yesterdays walk was much the same, and David's Achilles tendonitis is coping well so far.

Later in the afternoon we walked up to our club (another 2 km), the Southport Workers Club which has been renamed CSi Club Southport since we were here last year. We had the Pizza Special with a schooner of beer for $10.00. Di traded her schooner for a glass of wine. After a couple more drinks we finished off with a Coffee and Carrot Cake.
