Southport - Day 18
Day 65 - Sunday 31 August 2014
31.08.2014
Another magic day on the Gold Coast - sunny and 23 degrees with very little wind.
The good news from last night is that the Cats finally got their act together after a scratchy second quarter, winning by 10 goals to cement third place on the ladder with the same number of wins as Sydney and Hawthorn, but a poorer percentage. The Tomahawk kicked 7 goals in a career best performance. We are looking forward to another showdown with Hawthorn at the MCG on Friday night. Also good to see the Tigers put together 9 wins in a row to lock down 8th place in the finals with a win over top placed Sydney. I noticed that Patrick and Chappy were not game to pick the Tigers in our tipping competition. Can the Tigers make it 10 in a row in Adelaide?
Being Sunday we wheeled out the Baby Q for eggs and bacon on toast for breakfast.
Eggs and bacon for breakfast this morning
After breakfast we had a lazy day in the sun finishing off the weekend's papers.
