A mainly sunny day in Moss Vale today with a forecast temperature range of 10 to 23 - although it got to 26 degrees this afternoon.

This morning we drove into the town centre for the weekend papers and a coffee and a muffin. Moss Vale is a very attractive town with lots of flowering trees and shrubs in the streets and gardens.

After lunch we drove to nearby Bowral to have a look at the Bradman Museum and the International Cricket Hall of Fame.

Another nice day in Nelson Bay this morning with a forecast temperature range of 17 to 25 degrees.

Forecast for Moss Vale is mainly cloudy with a forecast temperature range of 11 to 22 degrees.

We were up reasonably early this morning and were packed up and on the road by 9:15 am. Our track today took us south east around Newcastle and on to the renamed Newcastle Freeway F3, which is now called the M1 Pacific Highway. Just north west of Sydney we switched to the M2 then the M7 before joining the M1 Hume Highway for the rest of our trip to Moss Vale. We stopped for coffees and some cake at the Service Centre just near Wyong and eventually arrived at Moss Vale at about at about 2:00 pm.

We have done a very basic set-up here for two nights and have not bothered with the awning. That will make it easier when we leave here on Sunday as we will have a much longer trip of 473 km to Rutherglen, although nearly all of it will be on the Hume Highway which is now dual carriageway all the way from Sydney to Melbourne.

A magnificent day in Port Stephens - 16 to 26 degrees.

We had nothing planned for today other than drive into the town centre for papers, a visit to the pharmacy, the Post Office for our latest mail, and Bakers Delight for some rolls for lunch. After lunch we walked up to the Nelson Head Lighthouse on the hill behind the caravan park. Port Stephens Marine Rescue have taken over the facility, with the former light-keepers cottage now operating as a café and museum - the museum was closed however.

Mainly sunny in Nelson Bay today with forecast temperatures of 13 to 22 degrees.

We noticed this morning that Hobart is to have a maximum of 21 degrees today - so it must be nearly time to go home!

Today we walked around to the Nelson Bay town centre, about 2 km each way, for papers and a coffee - but shock/horror they were sold out of Australians by the time that we got there. We also dropped off some scripts at the pharmacy while we were there. After walking back to the caravan park we decided to drive over to Salamander Bay Shopping Centre for that elusive Australian. On the way back to the caravan park we drove up to the Gan Gan Lookout for a few photos. The lookout hill has numerous Gymea Lillies that are a very large native flower common in this area. The Lillies stand 3 to 4 metres tall with a flower head up to 250 mm in diameter.

Sunny in Nelson Bay this morning with a temperature range of 13 to 22 degrees.

I forgot to mention yesterday that we had offers of assistance when we were setting up from two fellows who had been sitting in the sun consuming the amber fluid. Not sure if it was too much sun or just two much amber fluid but they wondered whether we visited Austraya very often. Di told him we had been doing it for years - but she should have asked them if they knew where Albo lived as he lives in Austraya.

We were feeling lazy today so we drove around to the town centre for papers and a coffee. After lunch we drove over to Salamander Bay as they have a fairly large shopping centre with both Coles and Woollies as well as a BWS. Having stocked up with the necessities of life we returned to the caravan park to laze away the rest of the day.
